EVmode expands into logistics and retail charging in California

EVmode LLC and its Korean affiliate EVmode Korea have installed EV charging infrastructure at logistics and retail sites in California, expanding from passenger EV charging into commercial charging.

Logistics and retail operations run vehicles on fixed schedules, so charging speed, vehicle turnaround and the site’s power capacity all need to be planned together. With this project, EVmode plans to grow its business with distribution centers, transport hubs and fleet operators across the US.

EVmode’s North American lineup covers Level 2 AC chargers through Level 3 DC fast and high-power chargers, serving homes and commercial sites, logistics and transport depots, and large charging hubs. The chargers support both CCS1 and NACS connectors used in North America.

EVmode has also received official OCPP 1.6 certification from the Open Charge Alliance (OCA) for its chargers, and is working toward OCPP 2.0.1 certification, which adds stronger security, device management and smart charging features.

“This California project extends our US business from passenger EVs to commercial sectors such as logistics and retail,” said Jibong Jang, CEO of EVmode. “Building on our product lineup and local experience, we will keep growing in North America and pursue new markets including Latin America.”
