EVmode and CHAEVI sign MOU to target North America's DC fast charging market

EVmode LLC signed a strategic memorandum of understanding (MOU) with CHAEVI, one of Korea’s leading DC fast charger manufacturers, on June 26 at CHAEVI’s Gangnam-Seocho Center in Seoul. The two companies will pursue joint business in the global EV charging infrastructure market, starting with North America.

EVmode builds on charging systems designed and certified in the USA, with its own Level 2 chargers and charging station management system (CSMS). Together with EVmode Korea, it operates about 3,500 chargers in the US, Korea, France, Kazakhstan, Dubai and Mexico.

Under the agreement, CHAEVI’s 150kW-and-above fast chargers will be customized to the EVmode brand and user interface, starting with dual-protocol models that support both NACS and CCS1. CHAEVI’s 180kW fast charger is at the core of the partnership, and the companies will also work toward 400kW high-power chargers.

EVmode planned to finish product demonstrations and performance testing at its R&D center in Irvine, California in July, then expand charging infrastructure across major North American cities from the second half of 2025.

Beyond product supply, the two companies plan to combine technology and data to optimize operations, offer local customer service and pursue global certifications together, and to enter fast-growing markets in Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Latin America.
